Created a 3D printing system capable of producing batteries for electric cars

The Sakuu Corporation system uses two types of printing. On the one hand, powder bed melting system,

which sinteres the material in solid form, and withon the other hand, there is a jet spray head that ensures the precise spreading of the material. This system is capable of printing both ceramics and metal.

“The process flexibility of the printing system means thatcustomers can easily switch production to different battery types and sizes as needed, for example to get twice the energy in the same space or minimal energy in half the space,” Sakuu founder Robert Bagheri wrote in a statement.

Since the entire system is easily modifiable, you canwill print batteries for car and electric scooter in one day. The company claims its batteries are 50% lighter and 20% smaller than traditional lithium-ion batteries.
