Created a chair on wheels from the sci-fi cartoon of 2008

The American manufacturer Segway demonstrated a prototype of a futuristic vehicle under

called S-Pod.The company plans to show it in more detail at CES 2020. The S-Pod is a chair on wheels, somewhat similar to those used by lazy people in the cartoon “WALL-E.”

Seems like a more convenient wayIt’s hard to come up with individual travel. Maybe a sun lounger on wheels. According to the authors of the project, S-Pod can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h. On one charge the chair can travel up to 70 km. It weighs, however, a lot - 150 kg.

The S-Pod uses balance technology similar to Segway hoverboards. Only you need to control the chair not with the help of tilts, but with a small joystick located to the right of the seat.

It is reported that sales of new items are planned for 2021. How much it will cost is still unknown.
