Crisis at Samsung: profits fell by a third, the chip segment suffers losses

Presumably, the reason for the delay in development was global economic uncertainty, and with it expectations of a drop in demand in the tablet market due to the subsidence of the COVID-19 pandemic and weakening consumer sentiment. The situation in the tablet market is clearly demonstrated by the graph below, according to which Samsung’s share in the third quarter collapsed to 11-12%, almost equal to much smaller players in the segment like Huawei and Lenovo.
