With the beginning of 2023, new monetization rules came into force on YouTube, which completely exclude the receipt

profit for videos demonstrating opencruelty, violence, obscene language and much other objectionable content. Most of all, users were outraged by the fact that the rules also applied to already released videos, which deprived bloggers of a significant share of their income.

What is known

The video hosting management took note of the critical comments of bloggers and viewers and promised to revise the monetization rules and correct them.

This was stated by the representative of the site Michael Aciman (Michael Aciman) in an interview with TechCrunch.

In recent weeks I have been hearing a lot of feedback fromcontent makers regarding this update. Feedback is very important to us, and right now we are [in] the process of making adjustments to the rules to address the issues. We will reach out to the community as soon as we have something to share.

It remains to be seen when YouTube will change the rules for monetization, but until then, bloggers should be selective about the choice of topics for videos.
