Czech Republic bids to buy US F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter

In mid-summer, we wrote that the Czech Republic wants to buy American F-35 Lightning fighters. Now appeared

information that the country's Ministry of Defense has officially formalized the application.

What is known

The local publication Novinky writes about this. The application for the purchase of fighter jets must now be approved by the United States of America. The number of aircraft has not been disclosed, but presumably we are talking about 24 fighters. The amount of the contract is also unknown, but apparently it will be the most expensive military purchase in the country's history.
