Defense Ministry tested the ship's network for catching drone

The system allows the decks of small ships to be used as an airfield for drones, not

adapted to accommodate drones. Drones will speed up reconnaissance and establish communication between ships in the event of interruptions in the regular communication line.

The frigate “Admiral Essen” and the military drone “Orlan-10” took part in the tests of the system. The latter was launched from the deck of the ship with a catapult, and then they caught the drone with a net and returned it to the ship.

Earlier, the Danish authorities began to useunmanned aerial vehicles to monitor sulfur emissions in the exhaust gases of ships passing through the Great Belt. In the future, this will reduce the share of vessels in total emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
