Defiant-X new generation high-speed helicopter

American experts presented the concept of a new generation high-speed helicopter, Defiant-X. IN

The vehicle is based on the Sikorsky-Boeing SB-1 Defiant, the first flight of which also took place recently - in 2019.

Two companies are also developing the new product:Sikorsky and Boeing, Breaking Defense reports. At the same time, the presented new product, according to plans, will have to replace the famous multi-purpose Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in the future.

Among the differences between Defiant-X and its ancestor, you cannote the nose wheel landing gear and the pointed forward fuselage. At the same time, in terms of concepts, both the new product and the older model are extremely similar. For example, the Defiant-X, like the SB-1 Defiant, has a coaxial main rotor and a pusher rotor in the tail section.
