24 million adult Russians do not use the Internet

Yesterday it became known that the audience of the Runet in 2019

increased from 91 million to 94.4 million people.However, there are still many adults in the country who do not use the Internet.

A survey by the analytical agency GfK showed that one in five adult Russians (24 million people) is not an Internet user.Experts have also found out why people do not use the Internet.

48.4% of respondents said that they are either not interested in the Internet, or that it is not necessary. Interestingly, in 2018 more people gave such an answer - 55%.

35.7% of respondents admitted that they do not know how to use the Internet, while 14.1% do notdevices to access the network, such as a computer, laptop, or smartphone.5% believe that the cost of services is too high.1.6% do not use the Internet on principle.

The GfK survey was conducted in all regions of Russia, in which 2106 people over 16 years old participated.
