Russians believe that coronavirus is a biological weapon

Sociologists from the Levada Center conducted

February survey and found that 64% consider coronavirus a form of biological regime. They are convinced that the virus was created artificially.

As the researchers clarify, the version aboutthe artificial origin of the coronavirus dominates in all age groups. But it is more popular among the older generation. In the age group 40-54, the percentage of people who believe in the artificial origin of the virus was 71. 23% are convinced that the coronavirus originated naturally. Most of them are among people aged 18-24.

In addition, experts learned that 56% of Russiansare not afraid of contracting coronavirus. The number of people willing to be vaccinated with Sputnik V is also declining. In February 2021, 62% of those surveyed were not ready for this.
