associated with market research, they calculated how many smartphones sold in 2020 had OLED displays.

Thus, according to published data, about62.8% of all smartphones that hit the market in the fourth quarter of last year were equipped with OLED screens. At the same time, about 31.8% of devices received LCD screens. What displays are installed in the remaining 5.4% – is not noted, but it can be assumed that among them there are smartphones with E Ink screens.

Omdia also named the main supplier of suchscreens for smartphones – it was the South Korean giant Samsung Display. It is noted that in the current quarter the company will ship OLED panels worth more than $5 billion.
