According to a new report from DigiTimes, Apple will introduce Wi-Fi 6E technology to the new iPhone 13 smartphones this year.
What to expect
Let's remember that the manufacturer from Cupertino switched from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6 with the iPhone 11 line in 2019. And now it looks like the time has come for Wi-Fi 6E.
Essentially, Wi-Fi 6E offers featuresand Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, including faster performance and lower latency but faster data speeds extended to the 6GHz band. This should result in increased throughput and reduced interference to devices.
The report also talks about the use of LiDAR.It is reported that all models of the iPhone 13 line will receive cameras with these sensors, although currently only the older models in the iPhone 12 family have LiDAR - the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The iPhone 13 is expected to debut in September.
