The authors of the study studied a sample of 3586men from English-speaking countries and Hungary. There were no men in the sample who did not have sex with their partner or never had a partner. Participants also completed a questionnaire, answering questions about anxiety/depression, health status, sexual orientation, number of current sexual partners, interest in and importance of sex, masturbation, frequency of pornography viewing.
The analysis showed that the factors that increasethe likelihood of erectile dysfunction were: older age, anxiety, depression, health problems, less frequent sex, less importance of sex, and decreased satisfaction with sex and relationships. But watching pornography does not affect this, but there was a small effect from frequent masturbation.
