Dolphins turned out to be lovers of classical music

A new study has shown that dolphins love classical music: Bach, Debussy, Beethoven, etc. After

listening, the dolphins showed more sociable behavior. Scientists have suggested that classic music may even reduce stress in animals.

Previously, people have already noticed that classical music can have a beneficial effect on the behavior of animals. For example, farmers claimed that their cows gave more milk if they were periodically turned on the classics.

Now scientists fromUniversity of Padua in Italy. It turned out that when listening to the works of classical composers, the dolphins showed more interest in each other, gave more gentle touches and swam synchronously for longer.

“The way the dolphins behaved after listeningmusic was evidence that they felt happy, perhaps because it activated their brains to produce endogenous opioids, chemicals like endorphins that affect mood.

The researchers concluded that playing classical music to dolphins can be especially beneficial when the animals are under stress.
