Don't wait: Apple doesn't plan to release new Macs until next year

According to rumors, Apple was supposed to introduce new Mac computers with proprietary M2 chips in November. However

This doesn’t seem to be happening, at least according to reputable insiders.

What to expect

As Mark Gurman says:from Bloomberg in the latest edition of its Power On newsletter, Apple has decided to wait until next year. That is, updated versions of the MacBook Pro, Mac mini and Mac Pro will debut only in early 2023.

“I’m told that Apple intends to introduce updated models, including M2-based versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, in the first quarter of calendar 2023,” Gurman assures.

Some confirmation of his words was the speechApple CEO Tim Cook during the company's latest earnings report. He said Apple's product lineup is set ahead of the holidays, perhaps hinting that there won't be any new product launches this year.
