Draganfly sent drones to Ukraine for demining territories

Ukrainian sappers received Draganfly unmanned aerial vehicles that will help clear mines

territory.

What is known

Drones from a Canadian manufacturer are equipped withspecial sensors that are used to map the area where mines may be located. Unmanned aerial vehicles are capable of carrying different types of payloads, including radars, several types of cameras, and magnetometers.

Draganfly drones support algorithmsartificial intelligence. This is to distinguish plastic debris from mines that use non-metallic materials, since magnetometers do not work in this situation. At the same time, the company notes that due to machine learning, with each new mission, drones will become smarter and will be able to more effectively detect mines.

The disadvantage of Draganfly drones is thatthat they cannot dig mines themselves. This work will have to be done by sappers. But for this, there are robotic devices that will not endanger the lives of specialists. For example, Nova Poshta began to develop such robots, and in June Ukraine received TALON robots from QinetiQ-NA.
