Durov urged to switch from iPhone to Android

In Durov's Chat on Telegram, the founder of the messenger, Pavel Durov, wrote that he recommends switching from iOS to Android.

One of the users asked Durov if he couldto ensure that Telegram, in a situation like what happened with Parler, remains accessible to people. Let us remind you that Apple and Google have blocked the Parler application, popular among Trump supporters, from their stores. The user asked Durov whether Telegram could find a way to remain accessible to people even outside of app stores.

To this Paul replied that the monopoly of Apple andGoogle is a much bigger problem for freedom than Twitter. And Apple is more dangerous than others because it has complete control over which apps people use. On Android, you can at least install apps via APKs. “That is why I urge users to switch to Android from iOS - this is the least that they can do to maintain access to the free flow of information,” said Durov.
