EA plans to release Apex Legends for smartphones before the end of 2020

Apex Legends will be coming to Nintendo Switch in early fall. EA announced the release at the last EA Play, but forgot to mention

about plans for the mobile version.

What is known

The general director of the company corrected the mistakeAndrew Wilson, saying he plans to launch Apex Legends on mobile before the end of the year. As VGC writes, we are talking about a so-called “soft launch,” when the game is released in a couple of regions to test the server part and performance on mobile devices.

“We have [Plants vs. Zombies 3] is in soft launch [and] we're discussing a soft launch for Apex Legends by the end of this year,” says Wilson.

Apex Legends showed a successful starton PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and the developers did not hide their desire to transfer the game to mobile platforms. Back in May, EA said during a conference call that it was planning to release the battle royale on Android and iOS. The global release is expected at the end of April 2021.
