
UAE-based Edge Group has been awarded several contracts for the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles
What is known
Edge received $583 million for Thunder P3 Light (PGM) precision-guided missiles and $1.3 billion for Desert Sting 25 (DS-25) precision-guided air-to-surface munitions.
The UAE Air Force will receive Hunter 2-S, Hunter 5 and Hunter 10 loitering ammunition. Unmanned aerial vehicles support artificial intelligence algorithms. The contract value will be $299 million.

The latest contract also concerns kamikaze drones. But this time Shadow 25 and Shadow 50. Loitering ammunition is produced by ADASI, a subsidiary of the Edge Group.
The total value of the four contracts was just over $2.5 billion. The Edge Group also announced the signing of an agreement with BAE Systems to support the defense capabilities and security of the UAE.
