Edible beer glasses created

Japanese brewing company Asahi Breweries has released edible beer glasses. So the company wants to reduce

amount of plastic waste.

The Mog Cups are said to be made from potato starch. They are sold in different sizes and flavors. The flavors here are very diverse - from chocolate to rice cracker with shrimp.

To make the glass, potato starch is baked at high temperature and pressure. The manufacturer promises that the glass will be able to hold liquid at room temperature for an hour.

Company representatives noted that Mog Cup isthis is an example of the desire to build a sustainable society. Such glasses should become an alternative to plastic glasses, which become unnecessary waste.

Glasses are already sold in the online store in sets of ten. The smallest Mog Cup costs around ¥ 1,150 ($ 10.60).
