Elon Musk: beta testing of Starlink satellite Internet ends in October. We are waiting for a full launch

Recently, Elon Musk’s company SpaceX successfully launched the Inspiration4 mission, which included a Falcon 9 rocket with a spacecraft

Crew Dragon sent the first tourists into space. But Musk does not forget about his other project - the Starlink satellite Internet.

When?

It looks like the project is finally reaching the home stretch. The Internet has been tested since the end of October last year. Almost a whole year has passed, so it is logical that many are wondering when Starlink testing will be completed.

Elon Musk answered a question from one of his subscriberson Twitter that the beta will end next month. True, Musk is famous for the fact that he often does not comply with the announced deadlines, so for now his words should be treated with doubt. Moreover, not so long ago he promised that Starlink would leave the beta testing stage by the end of summer.

The head of SpaceX did not say what will happen after this, but usually the completion of testing means a transition to wider deployment and full commercial deployment.

According to SpaceX data provided byto the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the company has launched more than 1,700 Starlink satellites into orbit. But Musk previously said that to fully cover the Earth with satellite Internet, the company plans to launch more than 40 thousand satellites.
