The robot uses software withartificial intelligence and sensors with Autopilot driver assistance features. According to Musk, the current prototype can work much more than was shown at the presentation, but for the first time it worked completely autonomously.
The exact price was not named, but Musk said,that such a robot would cost "less than $20,000". In response to a question, the inventor assured that Tesla is doing a very good job of creating artificial intelligence and the reasons needed for robotics, since it has experience in the production of cars.
When asked how the Tesla robot differs from other similar robots, the billionaire replied that the Tesla robot can be produced in millions of pieces and has much more functionality.
The developers also said that the presentedthe model work was developed in just six months. Discussing the hurdles they had to overcome to get from prototype to production, they hope to get it done within a few months or years.
