Engineers from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology developed and created an unusual

robot dog MARVEL. As you already understand from its name, the robot is inspired by superheroes from the MARVEL universe, and more precisely by Spider-Man.

What is it this time

The main feature of Robops is that he canwalk on the walls and even the ceiling. But only on metal ones, since it moves with the help of magnetized legs (or paws?). The engineers used electromagnets and magnetic elastomers, which can be magnetized and demagnetized as the robot moves.

In addition, the four-legged robot can bypassobstacles such as beams and carry loads weighing up to 3 kg. The video experiment showed that the robotic dog successfully climbed onto an old rusty tank and at the same time avoided places where there was not enough metal.

Such a robot can be useful during repair work on bridges, industrial tanks and buildings.
