Insider Teme (特米) explained on Twitter what technologies will be used in the cameras of future Samsung and Huawei flagships.
The blogger said that the resolution of the main sensorsSamsung devices, apparently, the Galaxy S20 line of devices will be 108 megapixels. But the camera will use the usual RGGB layout and 9 Bayer filter. This means that the maximum resolution of the sensor will decrease by nine times - up to 12 megapixels. But the quality of the images will only improve due to the increase in light capture.
Huawei smartphones (apparently P40) will have a 52 MP sensor with RYYB layout and 4 Bayer filter. That is, the resolution will be reduced four times - to 13 megapixels.
What will turn out better is still unknown.
