Experts said that due to the pandemic, children in the United States began to spend more time on gadgets. Specialists

Professor Keith Humphreys warns about this(Keith Humphreys), who studies addictions. He said that ahead of us lies a period of “grand withdrawal” that will affect children trying to return to normal life. They will receive far fewer brain rewards than they currently receive from playing games and browsing social media.

Dr. Jenny Radesky, pediatrician, specializing in the use of smartphones by children, advised parents to turn off Wi-Fi at times when it is not needed for school activities. This would help children gradually wean themselves off screens.

According to Qustodio, whichtracks device use by children ages 4-15, screen time doubled in May 2020. Even kids under 10 spend hours playing games like Fortnite, the TikTok apps, and Snapchat.
