So now Facebook will be calledin another way - Meta. Let us immediately emphasize that we are talking about changing the name of the company, and not the social network Facebook. The company of the same name unites under its wing such projects as Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Workplace, etc.

The name is associated with the metaverse, a virtual world that the company is going to develop.
“The word Meta comes from the Greek word,meaning "after". To me it symbolizes the fact that there is always something more that can be built. Today we are seen as a social media company, but in our DNA we are a company that creates technology to connect people, and the metaverse is the next frontier, just like social media was when we first started,” Zuckerberg explained.
And the company has big plans.“Over the next decade, we hope the metaverse will reach a billion people, power hundreds of billions of dollars in digital commerce, and support jobs for millions of creators and developers,” says Facebook Meta CEO.

We also changed the company logo and stock ticker - from FB to MVRS (from December 1).
