The app is equipped with audio and visualfilters, as well as an auto-tuning function that users can use to create the final product. The app has a challenge mode in which users can freestyle about specific topics. As noted by the publication TechCrunch, BARS is another attempt to impose competition on the popular social network TikTok.

At the end of last year, the NPE team releasedan experimental Collab application that allows users to work on music videos without having to meet in person. The team told TechCrunch that the pandemic played a role in the creation of both apps.
Facebook has so far launched BARS as closedbeta version for iPhone, first videos were uploaded by team members. The app is already available for download on the App Store, and interested rappers can download them to await the official release for all users.
