The Simpsons: Hit & Run is a 2003 3D action game reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto.A user with the nickname El Gato Del Tejado began to work on

He recently posted a video about his large-scale project.

The main feature of the amateur re-release is the updated cutscenes: if in the original Hit & Run they are performed in 3D, then in the remaster there is an enthusiastredraws them in 2D, adhering to the style of the animated series

According to El Gato Del Tejado, he would liketake a look at what the intros would look like in a full-fledged remake like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, but he himself is not good at 3D animation, so he settled on 2D.

According to the author, at first he triedplay cut scenes using rotoscoping, however this approach worked for the table, but not the characters themselves. The only alternative was to draw videos by hand.

The fan is not limited to cut scenes - he alsoimproves original textures and models. The work must not be easy: El Gato Del Tejado ran into difficulties - for example, Lisa turned into a monster due to a bug.

There is no release date in the amateur re-release of The Simpsons: Hit & Run, as usual.
