In a memo sent to authorized suppliersservices and received by MacRumors, Apple announces that the late 2012 iPod shuffle, as well as the seventh generation iPod nano and fifth generation iPod touch, will be marked “obsolete” on September 30th.
As a reminder, the fifth-generation 16GB iPod touch has already been marked obsolete, and Apple plans to add 32GB and 64GB options to that list.
Apple phased out the iPod nano and iPod shuffle completely in 2017, while the iPod touch remained on sale until earlier this year.
