Face recognition now works on Kinopoisk. The function identifies the actor from a still frame of a video.
How does it work
When watching a movie or TV series, it is enoughpause it, and DeepDive technology will show a card with the name of the actor and his filmography. DeepDive uses Yandex computer vision algorithms and data from the Kinopoisk encyclopedia.

And if you forgot a character, in someseries, the card displays information about him, how he is connected to other characters and what he is all about. The system even manages to identify actors at different ages or under a layer of makeup.
