What is known
This video begins with a cinematic showing zombie attacks on a city bus and a commercial airliner, both departing from a zombie-infested Los Angeles.
The action then moves to the selection screencharacter, which shows the images, statistics and abilities of the six players you can choose from in the game – Jacob with high maximum health, Bruno who deals critical hits, tenacious Carla, high resistance Dani, reliable Ryan and agile Amy. The player chooses Jacob, who wakes up in the overturned wreckage of the accident, rips a piece of scrap metal from his stomach wound, and crawls to safety.
After this the real action begins –Jacob begins to fight a crowd of zombies with a homemade metal blade, a huge silver hammer and his bare hands. But he ends up getting bitten when he tries to do the right thing, and then wakes up outside the mansion and spends roughly the second half of the video beating up zombies both in and out of the mansion.
Dead Island 2 is scheduled to release on April 21 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
