NASA's Insight Mars mission is coming to an end. The US space agency announced earlier this month. Huge
The probe landed on Mars in November 2018 forstudying seismic activity on the Red Planet. Recently, NASA just shared two Insight selfies. He did the first on day 10 of the mission, and the second earlier this year. This is the last photo of the mission.
Before losing more solar energy, I took some time to take in my surroundings and snapped my final selfie before I rest my arm and camera permanently in the stowed position.

According to NASA forecasts, after more than three yearsInSight will be out of service by December. The lander's solar panels, which originally produced 5,000 watt-hours of energy each day, now produce only 500 watt-hours.
NASA's previous Mars missions on the solarEnergy in the past was helped by vortices. For example, they cleaned the solar panels of the Spirit and Opportunity rovers from dust. This allowed them to work a little longer. But InSight is not so lucky and continues to collect dust, leading to a gradual reduction in solar energy production capacity.
