According to Jon Prosser, the foldable iPhone could cost $1,499. This is cheaper than some foldable smartphones on the market. However, this price is too good to be true. Considering that the top-end iPhone 13 model could cost up to $1,500, such a price is unlikely. However, a “cheap” foldable iPhone could be a game changer for Apple.
Could this be the reason that the company chose a clamshell (flip)? The size of the device may be iPhone 12 mini, and after the coup it becomes larger.
As for the launch date, John Prosser's previous launch announcement was for September 2022. However, he also believes that Apple's plan may change.
