Flexible Motorola Razr clamshell screen crashes

Motorola Razr 2019, like any smartphone with a flexible screen, raised many questions among users regarding its

strength. Famous blogger Zach Nelson decided to check it out. On his YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, he published a video of a clamshell crash test.

As expected, the screen itself, or rather its coating, was unstable to scratches. Traces of mechanical stress could be seen even after an instrument with a second level of hardness.

The blogger also checked how the smartphone mechanismworks for folding and unfolding in extreme conditions. Nelson filled the device with various small particles. With a crunch, the Motorola Razr worked quite well even when dirty.

The smartphone also survived a strong slamming (as befits a folding phone). But he failed the reverse bending test.

As a result, we can say that the Motorola Razr clamshell with a flexible screen passed the crash test is not so bad. For everyday use (without the use of force) it is quite suitable.
