Ford unveils engine that will help turn an internal combustion engine into an electric car

Ford has announced an engine that will help owners of ICE cars convert them into an electric vehicle.

What is known

The engine is called the Eluminator e-crate and, according to the company, it is installed in the charged version of the Mustang Mach-E GT. This engine has a power of 281 hp. and 433 Nm of torque.

To demonstrate how Eluminator workse-crate Ford has converted the classic 1978 F-100 pickup truck into an electric vehicle. The car was equipped with two engines with a power of 480 horsepower. They produce 860 Nm of torque. In addition, the new product received an updated interior. The car was equipped with an electric dashboard, a new steering wheel, seats and a 15.5-inch vertical multimedia display. The exact same one is installed in the company's latest cars.

When to expect

Unfortunately, the electric F-100 came out inthe only copy and Ford has no plans to launch mass production. As for the Eluminator e-crate engine, it can already be purchased for $3,900. By the way, in the future the company also plans to sell separately batteries, special controllers and other components that will simplify the process of converting internal combustion engines.
