The new electric motor is called the Eluminator e-crate: it develops power of 281 horsepower and has 433 Nm of torque
The company said that later it will be possiblepurchase also battery systems, motor controllers, and other components. All this, according to the developers, will help car owners make it easier to retrofit traditional cars.
To demonstrate the new system, Fordproduced the only electric version of the 1978 F-100 pickup truck. It contains two Eluminator e-crate electric motors, with a total power of 480 horsepower and 860 Nm of torque.
In terms of characteristics, the car is not inferior to the Mustang Mach-E GT - this is a version of the first production electric car from Mustang. The company noted that the pickup truck will not be mass-produced.
The cost of the new engine is $ 3,900.
