French physicist Etienne Klein came up with a strange way to prove that you shouldn't trust everything you talk about.
What is known
The physicist posted a photo on his Twitter andsigned that the image captures the star Proxima Centauri (Proxima Centauri), and the frame itself was taken using the James Webb Space Telescope. The photo has collected several thousand reposts and more than 15,000 likes.

In fact, Etienne Klein publishedphotograph of a sausage. He later had to apologize for misleading Twitter users. The French physicist said he was surprised by what happened. He believed that people would immediately understand that the photo shows, if not a sausage, then certainly not a red dwarf star.
Klein claims that his plans did not include deceptionor making fun of someone. He just wanted to show how easy it is to fall for false information. According to the physicist, even journalists from large French TV channels shared his photo.
