The first MacBook Pro brought innovation to the world of technology - and a bit of controversy.

This new computer based onthe previous PowerBook G4 laptop, for the first time received dual-core Intel processors. MacBook Pro immediately launched a new wave in the world of technology. Oh yes, we forgot to mention the amazing MagSafe power connector!

The transition to Intel chips has become one of the mostnotable talking points after Steve Jobs unveiled the MacBook Pro at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco (it was then that he announced that Macs would be switched from Power PC processors to Intel).
Although some were skeptical of the innovation, Jobs believed that the transition to Intel chips would be key.

To highlight his move away from PowerPC, Jobs dropped the PowerBook name, which Apple had used for its laptops since 1991.
Name change marked historical transitionin the production of Apple laptops. However, some believed that Jobs thus indicated his disrespect for the history of Cupertino (in particular, for that part of this story when he did not work for the company).
Although the name has given buyers reason to doubtrelative to the MacBook Pro, Apple was able to launch a wave in the right direction. A rare step was taken - the laptop saw the light with a faster processor than previously stated, and had improved performance; however, the price category has not changed.
So, it was expected that the processor clock speedThe $ 1.999 MacBook Pro will be 1.67 GHz, while the actual value is 1.83 GHz. A more advanced laptop worth $ 2,499 came with a processor with a frequency of 2.0 GHz instead of 1.83. Apple seemed once again determined to surpass its rivals. The Intel Core Duo processor that the MacBook Pro was equipped with exceeded its predecessor in performance by 5 times.
MagSafe and other MacBook Pro features
Another "chip" of the first MacBook Pro wasthe appearance of the MagSafe connector (unfortunately, today the connector is gone). This is a magnetic power connector - if accidentally grazed, the Mac's wire easily and safely disconnects from the laptop, the computer will not be pulled to the floor!
Apple borrowed the idea of magnetic connectors frommanufacturers of deep fryers and other kitchen appliances where such technology is important to protect cooks from hot liquids. Apple has refined and patented the concept by making the connector symmetrical for maximum ease of use.
The MacBook Pro boasts a 15.4-inch widescreen LCD monitor and integrated iSight camera, which has also become an advantage for Apple laptops.
