From November 1st, WhatsApp will turn into a pumpkin on select Apple, Samsung and Huawei devices

WhatsApp, one of the most popular instant messengers in the world, used by hundreds of millions of people every day,

will stop working on some older phones.

From November 1st the application will stop working oncertain types of Android and iOS mobile phones, which will undoubtedly affect millions of people. The reason for WhatsApp's move is that these are old devices and maintaining them requires huge resources.

WhatsApp has undergone a lot of changes inrecent years and added new features that these phones do not support. There's also the issue of security: ensuring it on older devices is extremely challenging for a Facebook-owned app.
