FSB will receive all information about cryptocurrency traders

A draft document has appeared on the official Internet portal of regulatory legal acts, according to which

The FSB will be able to receive the information it needs from cryptocurrency operators.

This initiative is proposed in connection with changes in the current anti-corruption legislation. In accordance with them, information on the availability of cryptocurrencies is subject to reflection in income statements.

According to the document that is now passingpublic discussion and independent anti-corruption expertise, as part of the investigation of anti-corruption crimes, FSB officers will be able to send inquiries to credit institutions, tax authorities, bodies that carry out state registration of rights to real estate and transactions with it, and operators of information systems that issue digital financial assets - cryptocurrencies.

FSB officers need such powers because cryptocurrency has begun to be used for corruption purposes, including bribery.
