Lu Weibing aka (WilliamLu, said that in 2023 the world will not need special smartphones focused on mobile gaming. According to the head of the Redmi brand and vice president of Xiaomi, this trend is doomed to die.
The manager confirmed that within the Redmi K60 seriesdo not expect the presentation of the Gaming Edition model. Such smartphones were released in 2021 and 2022 - Redmi K40 Gaming and Redmi K50 Gaming, respectively. The head of Redmi claims that the performance of the regular Redmi K60 will be enough for games. To be fair, the Redmi K40 Pro on the Snapdragon 888 or the Redmi K50 Pro on the Dimensity 9000 was also powerful enough for gaming, but that didn't stop the company from releasing the Gaming version.
The Redmi K60 line will be presented at leastthree smartphones: Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E. The latter will receive a new Dimensity 8200 chip, which was officially confirmed two days ago. The presentation of smartphones is expected in early 2023. It is possible that shortly after the announcement, the company will introduce an Ultra version.
