The problem of weeds is known to many. The stage of getting rid of them is one of the most labor-intensive for owners.
And now, to the delight of all of the abovecategories, researchers from the United States presented an autonomous agricultural robot. A device called the Laserweeder is capable of killing about 100,000 weeds per hour using a high-tech laser.

An artificial intelligence (AI) camera built into the machine is responsible for identifying harmful plants.
We wanted to find out if there is a quick waywhich will improve agricultural performance. We immediately realized that this could be done using powerful energy systems - lasers. It is a directed energy delivery method that can be used to kill weeds. We have added computer vision and deep learning technology to this, which allowed us to determine in real time what needs to be destroyed and what is left behind.

The weight of the stand-alone device exceeds 4.5 tons. The power of its lasers is 150 W. Typically, such lasers are used to cut metal, the authors of the project said.
