Test results for the new Mac Pro have been published on the popular Geekbench benchmark. Performance
Testing results for the new Mac Pro models showed that models with 8-, 12- and 16-core processors (basic and medium versions) have similar performance with the iMac Pro two years ago.
The base Mac Pro with an 8-core processor insingle-core testing scored 1,008 points, in multi-core - 7 606. 12-core computer in single-core testing received 1,090 points, in multi-core - 11 599. 16-core Mac Pro - 1 104 and 14 285, respectively.

The results of the 16-core Mac Pro and 18-core iMac Pro are comparable, but the entire 16-core model is more productive.
According to MacRumors, in single-core modethe new Mac Pro models outperform the 2019 MacBooks, in particular the base 8-core version. And the 2019 high-performance MacBook Pro models (13, 15 and 16-inch), the 2019 high-performance Mac mini and iMac models outperform even the 16-core computer.
In the multi-core test, the 8-core Mac Pro is only ahead of the iMac Pro and the high-performance iMac, while the 12- and 16-core models are at the top of the chart.

And although the processor performance test allows you to understand what you can expect from a computer, still a lot depends on the user of the device.
