Modern humans first appeared in East Africa between 200,000 and 300,000 years agoBut there is
It is known that once on our planet there wasseveral kinds of people. These are Neanderthals, Denisovans, Homo floresiensis, Homo naledi. Then, between 30,000 and 40,000 years ago, all but one species of hominids (humans) disappeared. In the end, only Homo sapiens remained.
Thanks to Svante Pääbo's development, it was possible to sequence (find out the sequence of substances in them) genomesNeanderthals, Denisovans and early modern humanswho lived over 45,000 years ago. For this, the scientist received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2022.

It turned out that the first modern humans mated with Neanderthals. This is indicated by the Neanderthal genome. And non-Africans living today have inherited about 2% of their genomes from Neanderthal ancestors.
And it also became known that the first modern people also mated with Denisovans. And most of all, people of oceanic origin borrowed from these people: 4-6%.
In addition, DNA from a 90,000-year-old woman showed that her mother was a Neanderthal and her father a Denisovan.
Initially, as the results showedstudies, in the DNA of people who lived about 45,000 years ago, there were 10% of Neanderthals. Over time, this figure quickly declined, and today (in modern people) it is only 2%.
