Genshin Impact v3.0 will get a seventh element and two additional reactions

From the very start, Genshin Impact offers you to control heroes who master one of the six elements. But in the world of Teyvat they

only seven pieces - the element “Dendro” remains non-playable. Things will change in version 3.0 – HoYoverse spoke in more detail about the upcoming changes.

The developers note that Dendro will becomethe final piece of the puzzle in the system of elements. HoYoverse took the issue very seriously by inviting planners. All in order to make the finished mechanics understandable for assimilation.

“The Dendro element design is based on threekey concepts: catalysis, wisdom and life. These three concepts are captured in elemental reactions, level design, and location mechanics. And they are all closely interconnected”.

There are three reactions associated with Dendro, two of which are basic:

  • Burning (Dendro + Pyro) - gamers are familiar with this thanks to Dendro burning slimes and spikes that appear on the orders of shamans.
  • Budding (Dendro + Hydro) - created under the inspiration of blooming flowers. With the assistance of the elements, a sprout arises. What is its peculiarity is not yet clear.
  • Catalysis (Dendro + Electro) - combining the energy of Electro and the wisdom of Dendro, they form an unprecedented reaction. The developers also left the principle of its operation secret.

The area is immersed in greenery that reacts to the elements of the characters. The video shows which mushroom platform is activated by catalysis, and burning spoils it. Depending on the element used against them, the behavior or attack will also change. Defeating enemies in a certain status will bring different rewards.

Version 3.0 will appear sometime in the future. The next 2.8 update will land in Genshin Impact on July 13th. As usual, travelers are waiting for a new character, challenges and much more.
