Germany asks Sweden to transfer IRIS-T air defense and additional missiles to Ukraine

Bloomberg information, Germany asks Swedentransfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine launchers that are compatible with the IRIS-T air defense system. In addition, Germany also wants Sweden to send additional missiles to Ukraine.

Unfortunately, it is not yet known at what stage the negotiations are. By the way, according to journalists, Germany plans to keep its promise and transfer three more additional IRIS-T air defense systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine this year.

For those who are not in the know

IRIS-T is an anti-aircraft missile system of mediumrange. It was developed by the German company Diehl Defense in 2014. The complex is designed to destroy aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise and ballistic missiles. IRIS-T is considered one of the most advanced air defense systems. Now Ukraine has one SAM battery in service.
