Germany handed over to Ukraine the second anti-aircraft missile system IRIS-T SLM

Following the Patriot air defense systems, an anti-aircraft missile system could arrive in Ukraine from Germany.

Germany plans to transfer to the Armed ForcesUkraine four anti-aircraft missile systems IRIS-T SLM. The first arrived in Ukraine in the middle of autumn last year. According to Der Spiegel, the second complex was delivered a few days ago along with 16 missiles.

IRIS-T SLM is an air defense systemmedium range. The complex is designed to intercept cruise and ballistic missiles, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft. The maximum missile launch range is 40 km.

TRML-4D radar allows you to track airthreats at a distance of up to 250 km. In addition, the IRIS-T SLM anti-aircraft missile system includes a radar station with an active phased antenna array.
