So, according to Lambrecht, Armed ForcesUkraine will receive 40 infantry fighting vehicles: 20 vehicles will be transferred from Bundeswehr storage bases and 20 from the manufacturing company Rheinmetall. Deliveries of the Marder will begin at the end of March. Until this time, Ukrainian crews will undergo training in the use of infantry fighting vehicles in Germany.

For those who are not in the know
Marder is a German tracked combat vehicleinfantry. It has been in service with the Bundeswehr since the 1970s. The BMP has many modifications and can accommodate up to 10 people. The Marder boasts a sealed body made from several grades of armor plate up to 30mm thick. They protect the front of the BMP from 20 mm and 25 mm bullets from a distance of 200 m, and the sides from shrapnel and 7.62 mm small arms. As for weapons, this is a 20-mm RH 202 automatic cannon and a coaxial 7.62-mm MG3 machine gun. The BMP also has one machine gun on the roof of the troop compartment.
