Considering that Korean manufacturers withprice cuts with enthusiasm, other vendors have no choice but to follow suit and cut their own, amplifying the decline in consumer DRAM prices in Q3 from an initial estimate of 8~13% to 13-18%.
TrendForce expects consumer pricesDRAM will continue to decline until the oversupply in the market subsides. Thus, consumer DRAM prices will continue to decline by another 3~8% in Q4, and the possibility of a prolonged decline cannot be ruled out.
