Global electric vehicle sales top 10 million units in 2022 - China has a 60% share

The International Energy Agency reports that sales of electric vehicles in 2023 will

At the end of 2022, sales of electric vehicles in the worldexceeded 10 million units for the first time, up 55% from the previous year. By the end of 2023, the market will grow by another 35% to 14 million vehicles, and the share of electric vehicles in total vehicle sales will be 18%. Three years ago they occupied about 4%.

China is not only a leader in saleselectric vehicles, but also for the production of batteries (and components) for them. The share of China in exports exceeded 35%. On the other hand, in Europe there is the Net Zero Industry Act, according to which local companies satisfy 90% of the demand for batteries.
