Xiaomi introduced the Redmi 12C smartphone in China on the last day of 2022. Global version coming soon too

Redmi 12C has been spotted in regulator databasesNBTC (Thailand) and BIS (India), and also passed the performance test in Geekbench 5. The model number of the smartphone is 22120RN86G. The last character indicates that this is the global version.
Geekbench revealed some of the main technicalparameters of the international version of Redmi 12C. So, the smartphone will receive the Android 12 operating system and the Helio G85 mobile processor. This chip is used in Redmi Note 9 announced in 2020.
Geekbench tested the version with 4GB of RAM. She was able to score 355 points in Single Core mode and 1173 points in Multi-Core.
The Chinese Redmi 12C is equipped with a 50MP camera and a 6.71” HD+ display. The battery capacity was 5000 mAh. The smartphone costs from $100 to $130 depending on the configuration.
The global version of the smartphone should be called POCO C55, but it is possible that in some countries the model will be released under the Redmi brand. The announcement date has not been specified.
